i'd like to tell you about the wonderful day i had yesterday. i spent some quality time with my little girl. i say quality time because since she's been born, i might have seen her a total of 10 times in 3 months. the reasons for this i would rather not discuss. anyway, i worked something out and now i will probably see her at least once or twice a week.
to explain how happy i was to see her gives me chills. in my 27 years of living, she is the most beautiful thing i've ever seen. she is so special, so perfect, my little blue eyed angel. i love her more than i love myself. she was sleeping when i was driving her home, and then as soon as i got there she woke up smiling. my girlfriend and i took many picture's of her in different situations. then she ate, and slept for like three hours. just to watch her sleep and to sleep next to her made me week. i'm on a high that's better than any drug i've ever tried. i get to have her again this sunday and i plan on bringing her to my moms house so all my family can see her.
now for the picture's i took of her i use my nikon D50 with just a 18-70mm lens. i set it on auto for my girlfriend to shoot because she's still learning. as i shot i used the ambient light from my living room window. i set the camera on manual to 125 of the a second and i use f8, f5.6, and f4 when i held it still. it was around 2 o'clock in the afternoon so the light was great through the window. My girlfriend is getting lot better on her composition and i was impressed with some of her angles, yet she still needs some more experience with manual camera's to take quick digital photos' .
After we took a few snap shots and played with her a bit, i brought her to my room where i wanted to take some traditional baby pictures'. i got out a gray prop and shot her naked baby style. we had to play with her a bit to get the shots. This time i used the same camera and lens and shot at a 6th or a 10th of a second at f2.8, f4, and f5.6. in this situation i wish i had that 50mm lens that nikon offers because i could have gotten some closer more detail photo's. i used what i had to my best ability, because i know if i didn't shoot something i wouldn't have any memories of her at 3 months.
